can a junior golfer accept a club fitting, a set of clubs, and a gross of balls and still be an amatuer.?
I know of a junior golfer (11 yrs. old) who has been fitted for and given a full set of clubs and a gross of balls from one company; given prescription sunglasses from another company; and outfitted with clothes from a 3rd company. Is this person still considered an amatuer? If so are their limits to this before they lose that status?
My understanding is that any amateur (junior or not) can accept any free equipment, clothing, or other golf merchandise from any company. The only restriction is that an amateur cannot be paid to use or endorse any products.
